“California Environmental Voters is proud to support Gil Cisneros in his campaign for the 31st Congressional District,” said Matt Abularach-Macias, Deputy Campaigns Director for EnviroVoters. “As a Congressman Gil had shown a strong understanding of the urgent need to address climate change, so he prioritized environmental protection and sustainable policies. His passion for protecting and providing access to our great American outdoors, improving our air and water quality, and advancing environmental justice make him a strong choice for voters in the district. As his opponent Susan Rubio continues to take checks from Big Oil, we know we can count on Gil to stick with California’s values of standing up to corporate polluters. That’s because Gil recognizes bold and immediate action to combat the climate crisis will also foster economic growth and create green jobs for our communities. We need Gil back on the Hill!”

His track record in Congress reflects his commitment to promoting renewable energy, supporting clean water initiatives, and preserving our state’s diverse ecosystems. His support of major climate legislation has earned him a 98% score from the League of Conservation Voters from 2019 – 2020, and a 100% each from the National Parks Conservation Association and Clean Water Action.
