Chair of The House Democratic Caucus Rep. Pete Aguilar Endorses Gil Cisneros In CA-31

Endorsement Comes On The Heels Of Commanding Poll Numbers For Cisneros

Covina, CA – Today, former Los Angeles County Congressman and Under Secretary of Defense Gil Cisneros, who is running for California’s open 31st District, announced the endorsement of House Democratic Caucus Chair Congressman Pete Aguilar (CA-33). The endorsements comes days after a public poll release which showed Cisneros leading a crowded Democratic field in this San Gabriel Valley district.

As the Chair of the House Democratic Caucus, I am proud to endorse Gil Cisneros for Congress,” said Congressman Aguilar. “We need Gil in Washington because he will stand for working families and always put People Over Politics, just like he did during his time in the Navy and his fight against sexual assault in the military. I know Gil will be a strong partner in our work to lower costs, strengthen education, and pass comprehensive gun safety legislation.”

The endorsement adds to an impressive coalition supporting Cisneros, Congressmember Judy Chu, Supervisor Hilda Solis, the Hispanic Congressional Hispanic Caucus’ BOLD PAC, California Environmental Voters, SEIU California, Democrats Serve, the New Democratic Coalition Action Fund, Operating Engineers Local 12, the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail, and Transportation Workers, and the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 36. A full endorsement list can be found here.
